I refused to swap Firefox for Chrome for quite some time, but I did it and boy, am I glad. Firefox is still a cool browser, but Chrome is way better, since it’s faster, has more extentions and offers multiple accounts, which is great if you share your computer.
Now, a standard Chrome is just like a standard car. Nice, but not as great as the one with additional equipment, right?

Chromebook is Google’s Webby and Cloudy Laptop

Google’s started conquering a whole new niche: laptops, and they have dubbed them Chromebooks, which are manufactured by Google, Samsung and Acer for now. Chromebooks are made and optimized for the web. In fact, a Chromebook would be scrap metal without the Web. Let me explain.
Whatever you have on your Chromebook is online, stored in something called a ‘cloud’. Cloud computing offers services and tools on-demand via the Internet. That’s the smarty-pants explanation.
The street explanation is that every app, document or a setting is stored on a server and only you have the access to it. So, no matter which Chromebook you use, you get your settings and your stuff. So, if you lose your computer, you don’t have to fear your half-written novel is in the wrong hands and lost forevermore.
Buy another Chromebook, log in and voila. The only problem might be a global shutdown of the internets.

I became a new, proud member of the rapidly growing Android family a few months ago, and if the official figures are to be believed, another 66 million people have joined since. Many applications were discovered and tested in these months, and I would like to share some of them with you. Those worth downloading, of course.
First, I wanted to list the apps in the order of “coolness”, but since most of them are pretty useful and great, I decided to list them in alphabetical order. Also, all the apps listed are free. One other thing to note is that I’ve tested all of these apps on an HTC Wildfire, so your results could vary by phone.

iClippy helps you take screenshots of parts of the screen and automatically upload them online. That nifty piece of software enables you to visually bookmark, edit images, do some OCR recognition, document scanning and so on. All with a simple Windows widget on the side of your screen.
