Forums are pretty useful when your company or blog has a decent amount of customers/audience who occasionally require help.  You may already have a good FAQ section, but there are always a few more questions that those. If you want a simple solution for answering those extra questions, you might like Qhub.

First, let’s define Qhub. Qhub is probably the simplest way to build a Q&A page for your community. It lets your community ask their questions and get answers from either you, your company personnel or anyone else from around the web.

Getting Started

Qhub is free to use. However, premium upgrades are available if needed. To get started with a free account, click here.  You will see an area to sign up on the first page.

Write your Qhub page name in the first field and your desired address in the second one. After you sign up, you will get a unique address/url for your Q&A page.

Clicking the “Create” button will lead you through the remaining registration process. Once you are registered, you will have your own Q&A page which you can use as your company’s support forum or open questions and answers page.

Features

Once your Qhub account is set up, you will be able to connect to your Qhub page using Facebook Connect and Twitter OAth. You can also integrate your Qhub page to your blog or website so that you don’t have to send your visitors to the Qhub page you just created.  Qhub can be integrated in three ways.

  1. A page-side tab that sits within your blog or website.
  2. A widget allowing your community members/visitors to see the most recent questions and their relative answers.
  3. A widget to let them ask new questions right from your website or blog.

Integrating these widgets into your blog or website is easy. You just have to choose your desired widget, customize it a little bit to fit it with your blog or website’s theme and color, and you will get the code for that widget. Now, just place that code into your site wherever you want that widget to be displayed.

Conclusion

As I said above, using the service for free is possible. However, if you have a big community with lots of loads of traffic, you might want to buy the upgrade which will allow you to put your own advertisements onto the Qhub page of your Q&A.
