Dead simple applications have always been a favorite. From the early days of yesteryear with Twitter to now, I found my favorites to share with you. Some of these applications will help you complete simple tasks that normally just burden you, while others will solve that ever lasting question: What tool can help me do this?

The following applications are so unbelievably simple that most should not even need an introduction. Enjoy.

The Applications

Audio Boo

Need to take a quick audio recording? Look no further than Audio Boo, an easy way to record and share. Simply sign up using a Twitter account or creating an account, and then record a sound clip.

What Week is it

What Week is it is a site where I shouldn’t have to explain more, but I will anyway. With this simple site, you can find out what day of the year and week of the year it is.

WebPage Download

Use WebPage Download to download any webpage for safe keeping.

Drop.io

Need to send a large file to someone? How about create an online folder where friends can place files? Drop.io is one of the simplest tools to do this, with features “up the ying yang”. (Yes, that’s a Seinfeld quote.)

Dodgit

Dodgit is one of the best throwaway email address providers, for one simple reason: you can subscribe via RSS to all of the emails sent to the inbox. Want to turn a email newsletter into a feed? Done.

Spokeo

Spokeo is a wonderful tool for keeping track of your friends’ online profiles. Upload your address book, or enter a friends email, and see a compilation of their online profile updates.

j.mp

j.mp is a three letter URL shortener. Powered by bit.ly. Which means tracking clicks. And longer tweets.

Chi.mp

Chi.mp is an easy way to create a catch all for your online profiles. And they throw in a free .mp domain name for your Chi.mp site.

Is it DST?

Is it DST? Could it be simpler? When setting up a digital gadget, mostly clocks, they usually ask whether or not it is DST. Instead of researching daylight savings time, simply visit this site for the quick answer. [Disclaimer: I created this site.]

Etacts

Etacts is my latest favorite service. Not because it’s just another email infograph. It is my favorite because it works in Chrome and Firefox. Because it is free. And because it lets me keep tabs on emails that I send that I need reminding of. The screenshot should explain.

Twuffer

With one of my side projects, I found it necessary to schedule tweets in advance. After researching the many tweet schedulers out there, I settled on Twuffer, which makes it really easy to schedule a tweet.
