routeRANK is a web based travel planning service that considers every type of travel route available for the destination including rail, road and air connections. Users can sort their best travel routes based on priorities like price, travel time and carbon-di-oxide emissions. It also gives information on the amount of luggage suitable and the time of travel to reach the destination.
Overview
The service finds and ranks the travel routes to make sorting easy depending on the user priority. RouteRANK also provides a widget for free in order to integrate this service to your personal website or blog. A business version of routeRANK is also available for corporate customers to use internally. RouteRANK also provides a travel green mode, where you can select the route which is least polluting.
Using RoutRANK
To use this service, type in the boarding place and the destination in the ‘From’ and ‘To’ fields and click ‘Search’. You can then see travel routes available from the boarding place to destination.

Priority
RouteRANK gives four major priorities to search.
- Means of Travel – You can search the routes with you favorite means of travel.
- Price – You can search the lowest price travel by clicking the top arrow next to the ‘price’ option. This will give you the route prices of travel in ascending order.
- Time – Sort the list to find the shortest route.
- Extent of Pollution – Determine how much pollution is caused by your route and pick the one that suits you best.
Clicking on ‘more details’ will provide you with more information about the travel price and an option to buy your ticket for the journey.
