Genuine, Legal and FREE Music Sharing on Jamendo

jamendohorJamendo is a very popular platform for free and genuine music. Artists can upload their tracks and release it under Creative Commons licenses. Users are free to listen or download the tracks. This option for downloading, is what separates Jamendo from to the music discovery sites, which restricts you from downloading the tracks.

Don’t expect to see tracks from popular artists, though. It’s a platform for budding/independent artists, songwriters and music lovers alike. I’ve been enjoying it for a quite while, and some of the tracks there, have made into my favorites list.

Signing Up and Features

Signing up, gives you an account, enabling you to create playlists/compilations and play them, anytime, anywhere (similar to the playlist feature offered by almost all other music sites). All songs could be embedded anywhere on web, with their sleek player. You can also tune into radio on a variety of genres too.

PRO Section

Jamendo has a PRO section, where you can buy quality background score or jingles for your commercial projects. This is one of their prime features and it’s  how artists and composers could make money from their work.

You’re gonna like it if you’re a music lover (who is not ?!). Jamendo, beautifully does the multiple jobs of providing a platform for independent music enthusiasts to build their career and provide music lovers with quality and free music.
