Meeting halfway can often a very challenging task, because most people can’t ever agree on where or what halfway really is. This is due to the fact that actual distance doesn’t matter. Only the perceived distance matters.
Throw perception out the window and welcome a little reality to your world. MeetWays is a great online tool that will give you the exact location of the halfway point between two people, so there will be no more disagreements about who has to drive farther.
In order to use MeetWays, just type in two different locations, and MeetWays will give you the midpoint. You can also enter a “Point of Interest” in order to find the closest bank or pizza place to the midway point.
MeetWays uses Google Maps, as its mapping tool. This is great, because everyone should be familiar with Google Maps and how to use them. If you only selected two locations, a map will pop up with three red pins, one for each location and one for the midpoint. If you used a “Point of Interest”, you will be greeted with several yellow pins all around the middle of the map.
MeetWays also has a search very similar to the first one that is just focused around finding restaurants. Put in your two locations, and MeetWays will return all the restaurants close the halfway point. MeetWays also has some partners that offer special deals that could minimize your travel expenses. I haven’t looked too deep into this feature, but I’m sure there are a few deals to be found.
Overall, Meetways is a very easy to use tool that will help you and your friends find the best place to get together.
