4 Alternatives to Adobe PDF Reader

I’m not sure about you, but I really hate the PDF format. What has always added to my dislike of the PDF format has been the traditionally slow Adobe PDF Reader. To make it easier to deal with PDFs, I’ve rounded up four great alternatives to Adobe PDF Reader.
Foxit Reader is probably the most popular viewer on this list and is the one I currently use. I have been using it for about six months now, and I absolutely love it. It is fast and smooth in its operation and has great support that keeps it updated.
Sumatra PDF is an extremely simplistic PDF viewer. It is lightweight and focuses more on performance and simplicity instead of bulky features.
Drumlin Reader is another lightweight and easy to use PDF reader that is about “25% the size of other PDF readers.”
PDF-XChange viewer is an alternative that opts for options instead of simplicity. Even though this is a free version of a paid software, it still has many options and ways to customize your viewing experience.

I’m the exact opposite – I LOVE pdf files. I convert everything into pdf’s and I loathe MS Word files. Give me a pdf any day of the week.

I wonder why a lot of people don’t care to check out tools beyond Adobe Reader for opening PDF Files.
To Foxit Reader goes my vote, I just love it. I might try Sumatra on my USB key since it’s even smaller.

I agree with Mark, I love PDF when I have to read something. I touch Word only when I have to write something.
