dvdrThere are a number of great DVD burner programs available out there. One of the most popular is Nero CD/DVD Burner. Unfortunately, it’s not free of cost. Don’t worry, you don’t have to buy it. There are lots of other recommendable DVD burner applications available on the net that are free.

So, before you run out and buy the most popular burning software out there, you may want to consider checking out these free alternatives that do just as good a job.

CDBurnerXP

cdburnerxpCDBurnerXP is an easy to use DVD and CD burning freeware that you can use instead of burners that require money to buy. You can even burn Blu-Ray and HD-DVDs using this free burner.  It supports burning and creating ISO files, data verification after burning process, creating bootable discs, etc. It has a multi-language interface and runs on Windows 2000/XP/2003 Server/Vista/ 7.

DeepBurner

Deepburner can be used to create backups, copy discs, create audio/video discs, etc.  You can also use DeepBurner to create astonishing photo albums. DeepBurner has both professional and freeware versions of CD/DVD burners. But don’t worry; even if you go with the free one, you will get a professional experience in a  very user-friendly environment.

InfraRecorder

InfraBurnerInfraRecorder is another great CD/DVD burning freeware for Windows users.  Its features include support of recording dual-layer DVDs, creating custom data, audio and mixed-mode projects and recording them to physical discs as well as disc images. You can also set your DVD/CD to be protected from other data being added later.

There’s a lot more to this software than can be covered in just a few sentences, so you’ll just have to go and check it out for yourself.

Ashampoo

Ashampoo is just another CD/DVD/Blu-ray burner that burns CD/DVD/Blu-ray with strong password protection (if needed). It can also create compressed backup in archived format as well as read archived contents in their original format. It’s the last on our list of easier to use freeware that you can use instead of paid buring software.

Conclusion

After you try one of these programs, you will see why you’ll never have to pay for a burning software again.  These free programs give you the same options and abilities of the paid ones out there like Nero.  CDBurnerXP is my personal favorite.  What burning software do you use?
