plurk logoIt wasn’t long ago I was posting about Plurk taking strides to move past Twitter as the microblogging service of choice.  In the article, I spoke about how Plurk has a long way to go to surpass Twitter.  One of the shortcomings of Plurk I mentioned was the lack of a desktop client.

The wait for the ability to update from the comfort of your desktop is now over.  Plurkair has come in to provide us with a very basic, but very effective application that updates Plurk from the desktop.

Plurkair lets you post regular updates and respond to your friends, but that is the extent of the application.  You can’t Plurk to certain people, tweak your profile, or search for new friends.  This is a brand new application for Adobe AIR, so I’m sure we will see many improvements made in the future to make your desktop Plurking experience even better.

If you aren’t on Plurk yet and want to know what it is all about, come join me!
