Retrieve Data from Damaged Hard Drives, CDs and DVDs with Unstoppable Copier

There are lots of frustrations involved when migrating from one hard drive to another. Many of us while moving or recovering system files or huge amounts of data from one local drive to another run into some type of damaged file. Unstoppable Copier is an open source software which retrieves the data from your hard disk or CD/DVD with bad sectors, badly damaged disks and/or boot sector failures.
How It Works
Unstoppable Copier will retrieve the data from the damaged sectors with a guess after considering all the parts that were actually readable. In the case of a video or mp3, the damaged part of the file will be recovered but it may not play the way it used to. Noticing the damaged part of the file is a small price to pay for actually still having the file.

This program looks very good. There is another good program that does this, although it may not be as user friendly. It’s called PhotoRec. I have used it many times. It’s crazy how it works.
I wish that there was a program like this for the Mac though!
