Online Tools For the Back to Schooler
Posted on 14. Jan, 2009 by Luis Sandoval.
School starts real soon for a lot of the secondary students and in a few weeks for most college students. It’s the home stretch now until summer time, when another year of school is over.
In order to make this last part of the school year go by much faster, there are tools that can make your academic life so much easier. Makeuseof shared some excellent tools for saving your academic butt on this home stretch.
Take heed, there are sure to be signs of celebration and severe ease of use for all future projects, are you ready?
Here is a short list of what you’ll find in the post:
- BibMe – great way to get your bibliography completed for all your major research papers; the site covers books, magazines, newspapers, and websites to name a few
- Tadalists – a surefire way to keep yourself organized and on the ball as you list your daily and weekly tasks, nothing is as satisfying as checking off things you’ve already done
- Ratemyprofessor – an old classic where students rate their experiences with instructors and universities and colleges nationwide; take a peek before choosing your classes
- Plagiarism Detection – don’t let your paper get caught up in scandals, ensure the quality with this site so that your instructor has no room to doubt
These are just a few that are listed in the MakeUseOf post. I truly wish some of these were around when I was in college a few years ago, it could have saved me a lot of time. Enjoy!

Podcast #1 for MakeUseOf
Posted on 11. May, 2008 by Kyle Judkins.
MakeUseOf gave us all a Mother’s Day present by starting their very own podcast. I have been a fan of this site for some time now (enough so that I am now a writer for them!), and they have always provided great information about all of the tools you need to get the most out of your computer and the Internet.
The first podcast does not disappoint and keeps the tradition going. I am looking forward to this podcast turning into a great series and hope that you guys will check it out.
