Kyle’s Quick Picks: Bioshock
Posted on 06. Oct, 2009 by Kyle Judkins.
About a month ago, I announced the new post series, Kyle’s Quick Picks. To give you a quick refresher, these posts will recommend a gadget, game or any piece of tech that I personally recommend. My recommendation for this post is the game, Bioshock.
Bioshock is one of the best games I’ve ever played, and it is one of the first games I’ve played that felt like a work of art. A lot of games are fun, but this game really drew me in with the music, art direction and story.
The game is an fps/rpg hybrid that centers around the underwater city of Rapture. Rapture was built to be the perfect society, but of course, everything goes wrong. I can’t say enough about how great the game is and how much I look forward to the sequel that is coming out early next year.
Bioshock is available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. If you were wondering about the action figure at the top, it’s a Big Daddy from the game that I got that from the limited edition, and it was one of the best special edition addons I’ve seen so far.
Have you played Bioshock? What did you think?

How Many RRoD’s Have You Had?
Posted on 07. Apr, 2008 by Kyle Judkins.
I guess I shouldn’t have gotten so excited about fragging some n00bs and posting my xbox live gamertag just yet. I’m not saying don’t add me. Add away! Just know that my Xbox 360 is in Mesquite, TX, so it might be a few days before I’m back online. You might now say to yourself, “Why is your Xbox in Texas?” Well, I got the wonderful RRoD a couple of weeks ago. This was my first, so I am no longer a RRoD virgin. However, this will be my 3rd Xbox 360, as my optical drive went out on the first one. I want to know how many of you guys have had your Xbox 360 fail and what keeps you coming back? For me, it’s all about the games. No other console has the game library like the Xbox 360. I will stay with the Xbox 360 no matter how many times it breaks, so I guess I’m stuck in the cycle: Frag, Cry, Ship.

Come Play Xbox with Me
Posted on 07. Apr, 2008 by Kyle Judkins.
I have recently been trying to really get involved with as many communities as I can in order to gain more readers and subscribers. One of the ways that I have done this was to post my XBL gamertag information (as seen below and on the sidebar). Feel free to add me, and we can commence the co-op fragging immediately!

DivX and XviD Stream to Your Xbox with Transcode 360
Posted on 10. Oct, 2007 by Kyle Judkins.
In a post not long ago, We told you about streaming using any type of Xbox. One of the problems with Xbox 360 streaming is that Microsoft wants you to use WMV, and who uses that anymore anyways? Well, the guys over at Runtime360 have come up with a great program that allows DivX and XviD streaming. It is called Transcode 360, and as soon as we get our new computer in we will be using this program for sure.

Have an Xbox? Want a Media Center?
Posted on 24. Sep, 2007 by Kyle Judkins.

No matter what Xbox you have, you can use it to turn your living room into that streaming utopian paradise you always wanted. I, personally, have an old Xbox set up with XBMC. My wife was skeptical of this project at the beginning, but now, she can’t live without it. There are three great articles up on Lifehacker about turning your Xbox or Xbox360 into a great media center.
