ClipX: Take Control Of Your Clipboard

Have you heard of clipboard in your Windows operating system? Whenever you copy an item, that item is copied in your clipboard. When you paste, the item that was pasted comes from the clipboard. By default, you can’t paste a copied item twice if you copy something else later. What if you want to have more options when it comes to the clipboard?
There is an insanely useful freeware available online which you can use to take full advantage of your clipboard. You can copy as many items you want and paste any of them anytime anywhere you need.
ClipX
The freeware that we are talking about is ClipX. Using ClipX is simple. It will save everything you copy from anywhere, including images, text, documents, files and many more.

ClipX will look like this.
ClipX is highly configurable. You can set which items will be saved in the history for future pasting. For example, if you don’t want images to be saved in the history of ClipX, you can simply define that.
Why ClipX?
Many of you may ask a question, “Why ClipX?” The answer is quite simple. You should use ClipX, because Windows doesn’t remember previously copied items while Microsoft Office programs remember as low as 24 copies and have no custom options.
ClipX will remember all the copied items from text to file; however, you can exclude any type of items from being saved. By default, ClipX remembers 1024 cilpboard items, but you can increase or decrease the number. ClipX also can be used with hotkeys so that your work goes faster.
How to Use ClipX?
ClipX should be running [in the systray] and history should be enabled. Then, whenever you need to paste a previously copied item, you just need to press Ctrl + Shift + V, and you will get the menu from ClipX to select previously copied items and re-copy them.

ClipX Flyout. CLicking on any item will copy it to your clipboard again.
You can also configure any hotkeys you want to take advantage of the other features of ClipX.

Configure clipx -- personalize it.
There are some additional plugins you can use to increase the usefulness of the tiny-yet-great freeware application. You can download ClipX from this page. Additional plugins can also be downloaded from the same page.

This looks very useful and something that can actually fix the problem I find myself in quite constantly. I always copy over something on my clipboard and then try to paste it where I wanted the previous entry to go (I have a short memory).
It looks like ClipX can fix this problem. I’ll be putting this on my PC tonight. Thanks!
