Recently, I moved from a Flickr account to a Picasa Web Albums account. The main reason behind the move comes from the fact that I use Picasa as my desktop photo organizer. The one thing that kept me from switching earlier was that I didn’t want to have to move all of the pictures I already had on my Flickr account.
After a little searching around the Internet, I found Migratr. Migratr makes it easy to transfer your pictures from Flickr to Picasa or vice versa. Let’s look at how easy it is to make the transition.
After downloading Migratr, open it up and you will be greeted with a window that has 6 steps ready for you to complete.
The process of transferring the photos is extremely simple. You select the service you want to take the photos from, authenticate for that site and download the photos. After that, you select the service you want to upload to, authenticate for that service and upload your photos. The following shows the steps listed in the program.
Migratr is not limited to Picasa and Flickr. You can also transfer pictures from the following services.
Migratr is a dead simple program that provides a great service by allowing you to quickly and easily move your photos from one site to another.
