How To Transfer Photos from Flickr to Picasa
Recently, I moved from a Flickr account to a Picasa Web Albums account. The main reason behind the move comes from the fact that I use Picasa as my desktop photo organizer. The one thing that kept me from switching earlier was that I didn’t want to have to move all of the pictures I already had on my Flickr account.
After a little searching around the Internet, I found Migratr. Migratr makes it easy to transfer your pictures from Flickr to Picasa or vice versa. Let’s look at how easy it is to make the transition.

After downloading Migratr, open it up and you will be greeted with a window that has 6 steps ready for you to complete.
The process of transferring the photos is extremely simple. You select the service you want to take the photos from, authenticate for that site and download the photos. After that, you select the service you want to upload to, authenticate for that service and upload your photos. The following shows the steps listed in the program.

Please help, I can’t burn from flickr or when I want to add a picture to emails, etc. all it ever shows me is photo gallery to upload from….most of my pictures are in flickr and I need them out.

Hey Josh,
Hoping you can help me out here – I just downloaded migratr, and was able to download all my pictures from flickr. But on trying to upload to picasa, the authentication doesn’t seem to happen – tells me it should open the picasa webpage and authenticate, but no luck. Any thoughts?

Thank you very much for posting the link to this app. I recently had to re-up my Flickr Pro account because they wouldn’t let me see all my pics until I did; basically, holding them hostage. This will allow me to “liberate” them.
